Claude Code usage,
in your menu bar.
Crustat is a tiny macOS menu-bar app that keeps your Claude Code rate limits, token usage, and Anthropic's status one glance away — without opening a terminal.
What it shows
Rate limits at a glance
Live session and weekly usage with colored bars — green, amber, red — and when each window resets.
Token usage, broken down
Tokens today and this week, split by model and by project, formatted for humans (1.2M, 8.4K).
7-day activity
A sparkline of daily usage, your session count, and the projects you spent the most on.
Anthropic status
A single dot tells you if the API is healthy. Click through to the live status page.
How it runs
Always up to date
Crustat updates itself quietly in the background, so you're always running the latest version — no reinstalling, no checking.
Apple Silicon native
Requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later on Apple Silicon. The current build is arm64-only; a universal build may come later.
Private by design
Crustat reads your usage locally on your own machine and talks only to Anthropic's API. Nothing is collected by us — there is no server.
